Do I need admin rights to install SheetGuard?
No. The AI Blocker writes to your user-level Windows registry (HKCU) and needs no admin rights. The Excel add-in installs from Microsoft AppSource like any other add-in.
Does SheetGuard work on Mac?
The Excel add-in works on Windows 10+ and macOS 12+. The AI Blocker companion app is Windows-only for now.
Will the AI Blocker break other Office features?
No. It targets Copilot specifically and is fully reversible — open the app and click Unblock to restore everything.
Do I need both the app and the add-in?
No — they work independently. Install the AI Blocker to disable Copilot, the add-in for Tab Folders, Smart Undo and Filter Guard, or both.
Is my spreadsheet data sent anywhere?
No. SheetGuard processes everything locally on your device. Your cell values, formulas, and tab folders never leave your machine; license checks send only a hashed key.
